Last night's system has departed and we're in a calm period between storm systems, with a larger storm looming for tomorrow afternoon through early Thursday. The second of a family of storms could bring more substantial wintry precipitation to Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania while bringing Philadelphia yet another cold, chilled rain before we once again notch colder again for the balance of the week.
Today's calm weather will be somewhat welcome given the less-than-stellar weather that's to come with this next storm.
Temperatures this afternoon should get into the middle 40's under a sun and cloud mix, with more sun south and more clouds north. Winds will be light, north and northwest at 5 to 10 mph. A fairly normal Christmas Day (our average high is 42) overall.
