Lots going on this morning. First is to mention the fog in many areas. Very dense fog is occuring across in some parts and will continue for the next few hours as warm front moves through the region. Once this clears, it will remain cloudy, but temperatures will warm out ahead of an approaching cold front. Showers and a steadier rain will move into the area later on this afternoon and evening. Winds will remain light from the southwest, will a gradual increase to a light breeze later by the afternoon hours.
Temperatures as of 7am vary from north to south. They are in the 40's north of the city and points north through Northeast PA, the Poconos and central/northern NJ. Southern areas are in the lower 50's. Temperatures will continue to rise through the day and get into the 60's for southern areas, while remaining the 50's farther north. A pretty strong cold front will be moving through the region tonight and will usher in much colder and more seasonal temperatures for tomorrow.
