Mundane Midweek

A quiet, chilled morning around the region as temperatures reside in the 30's for many locations -- the cool spot, Quakertown, is in the the upper 20's but is the general exception to the rule in the Delaware Valley for temperatures.  Skies are mostly cloudy to cloudy depending on location.

Today's weather is going to be quiet, boring, and uneventful with a varied mix of clouds and sunshine.  High clouds are streaming northeast along and inland from the Atlantic along the jet stream flow, which will result in a filtered appearance for the sun today. Expect a mix of high clouds and some sun through the day today, with temperatures generally getting into the middle and upper 40's through the Delaware Valley for high temperatures, warmest along I-95.  48 is our call for Philadelphia.

We should remain quiet through Saturday before the first of two storm systems moves through the region next week.  The first looks to be mainly rain for everyone (some icy rain or a mix with snow is possible north of I-80), with the second storm perhaps nudging frozen precipitation closer to Philadelphia although modeling at this point suggests mainly rain (for now) in the forecast in the city, with some snow possible to the city's north and west.
