A soggy and dreary day is on tap. An all day rain event is moving into the region. Currently as of 7am, the first few showers have made their way into the city and parts of southern NJ. The heavier and steadier rain is still south and west over Northeast Maryland. This area of rain is slowly moving in an east-northeasterly direction and will move through the area throughout the day. A majority of the rainfall will fall over Delaware, the city and southern NJ. Lighter rain and lesser amounts will be seen as you travel farther north and west.
Temperatures will not budge much and stay fairly steady. Temperatures in the mid to upper 40's now will remain fairly steady through the day, perhaps falling a few degrees as the rain moves in. Winds will be light from an ENE direction.
Warmer temperatures are on tap for tomorrow, as a cold front will be approaching the area.
