Surging Towards (But Not Quite To) 70 In City

We're off and running with another mild start in the region today -- temperatures generally are in the upper 40's or lower 50's depending on location this morning.  It's milder west of the city in part due to clouds in place overnight.  Those clouds are producing some showers early this morning across the Poconos, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Northern New Jersey as they move east.  They are mainly north of the city this morning.

Some patchy fog lurks in spots but it's not as bad as what we had to deal with earlier in the weekend.  It'll burn off pretty quickly in most spots this morning as mild air and some breeze aloft will help mix any ground fog out of here quickly.  What then is in store for the region is a mild day, perhaps one that will be warmer than yesterday's 67 degree sunbath.  We're projecting a high of 68 in Philadelphia this afternoon, which is not a record (73 is the record) but it's still about 20 degrees above normal for this time of the year.  Skies will feature a mix of clouds and sun through the course of the day, more sun around midday than later on.

Best chances of 70 degree weather reside in Millville, Wilmington, Dover, and across Maryland -- the same places that saw 68 or warmer yesterday should get to 70 (or really close to it) this afternoon.
