Continuing a Mild Pattern
It's going to be a nice day today around the region -- low and mid 50's will be common around here for highs this afternoon. A weak cool front will push east through the state this afternoon, perhaps spreading a shower or two across Northern Pennsylvania but it's likely that any precipitation will stay north of I-78 this afternoon and probably even north of Scranton. A few clouds will pass overhead in the afternoon hours though (see the graphic above of the NAM computer model).
With the front approaching and eventually passing through the region, a bit of an increase in wind is expected through the course of the day. Winds will increase to between 10 and 15 mph this afternoon from the west, perhaps with some higher gusts. It won't impact you tremendously.
Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler on Thursday but we should coax a decent day before showers move in on Friday.
