Forecast for Sunday, January 6, 2013

A weak disturbance passing through overnight into early Sunday could give us a two to three hour window for snow showers and flurries. A dusting to a coating of snow is possible in some locations. This is going to serve a tease for those that are snow starved.

A warm front is expected to arrive Wednesday Night into Thursday. Periods of rain will likely develop across the region. Initially, the Poconos may have some freezing rain. However, even in the Poconos, a quick transition to liquid rain is expected. A cold front will eventually swing through late this week or next weekend.

Temperatures will be above average for most of this week and in some cases well above average. However, the models are giving the signal for an Arctic attack to strike about 15 days from now.
