January 11th, 2013 Forecast
For this evening, skies will start partly cloudy but clouds will increase overnight, ahead of the next little system to come our way. If you do have plans tonight, it'll be dry however. Temperatures will dip into the lower to mid-30's pretty much throughout the region, with the exception of extreme north and west, when low's could drop into the upper 20's. Winds will come from the northwest at 5 to 10 mph, but will become calm overnight. For Friday, skies will remain mostly cloudy and slightly cooler than Thursday, but still above normal overall. Showers will start to move in in the afternoon. Highs tomorrow in the mid- to upper 40's both north and west and around the metro and could flirt with the 50-degree mark to the south and east.
After the small disturbance on Friday, this weekend looks very un-winter, and pleasant. Saturday will feature clearing skies and temperatures shooting up into the upper 50's, and they don't stop there. Sunday, temperatures head into the lower 60's. Yes. 60-degrees. However, skies will become mostly cloudy again, ahead of another system. Monday, showers move back into the region. Temperatures will still be very warm, sticking in the upper 50's. Slightly "cooler" for Tuesday, with temperatures in the mid-40's and scattered showers around. Wednesday looks unsettled still with showers still in the area and temperatures in the upper 40's to near 50-degrees. After the system moves off Thursday, we're left with partly cloudy skies and temperatures back to around normal, in the mid-30's.
