Showers Spread In Later Today

A showery afternoon and evening is upon us later on as a weak storm system pushes in from the west.  The first fingers of precipitation will work in during the morning to our west and will spread east through the course of the late morning and afternoon hours.  The afternoon and evening will not be terribly ideal thanks to damp, dreary conditions but rainfall will not be terribly heavy out.  It'll be gray and miserable looking out though.

Temperatures in the Poconos will be close enough to 32 where freezing precipitation is possible on the front end of shower activity later on today but temperatures should moderate above freezing quickly enough  where icy travel should not be a major issue up there.

About a quarter to a third of an inch of rain looks likely with today's rain -- not an overly huge rainfall but it's needed and appreciated given the relatively dry go of things around here the last couple of weeks.

Highs around midday and the early afternoon will be in the mid and upper 40's across much of the region.  We will push 60 on Saturday and probably go a fair bit into the 60's on Sunday.
