Fog Now, Brighter Later

Many areas are starting off with fog on this Valentine's Day morning thanks to clearing skies after last night's rain and snow. It's not dense fog, but even a little bit of fog can cause slower travel on the roads, so keep that in mind as you head out this morning.  By 10 AM, the fog should be gone for most of us and then sun will shine brightly for the rest of the day.  The image above from the 4 km NAM indicates bright sunshine at noon.

Temperatures will be rather pleasant today, very similar to yesterday.  By noon we should be in the low 40s in Philly before reaching a high around 45 by 4 PM.  North and west of the city will top out in the low 40s this afternoon.  South and east of the city will reach the mid 40s.  Winds will be out of the west-northwest this morning before shifting from the west-southwest this afternoon at 5 to 10 mph.
