Forecast for March 1st, 2013

The old adage says that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb.  Well, we will see the first chance of rain and snow of the new month come mid-week, but first a breezy weekend to get through.  Tonight, any isolated shower that moves through could still effect us into late-evening.  Otherwise, mostly cloudy with winds from the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Temperatures around the city in the mid-30's, with the same to the south and east.  To the north and west, lows dipping in the lower 30's.  Tomorrow, partly sunny skies with mild temperatures.  It'll be breezy at times with winds from the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.  Highs could top out around 50-degrees in some areas, but in the upper 40's most other places.

Saturday looks like another great day, with clouds on the decrease and temperatures in the upper 40's. Winds on Saturday could still be breezy at times.  Sunday, temperatures drop into the mid-40's with sun and clouds.  The start of the next work week looks calm, with mostly sunny skies on Monday and temperatures topping out in the mid-40's.  Tuesday, skies will start out partly cloudy, but towards evening, clouds will be on the increase.  Temperatures on Tuesday will again reach the mid-40's.  Wednesday is when we start to see some precipitation, with rain and snow showers possible under mostly cloudy skies.  Highs will reach into the mid- to upper 40's, but overnight into Thursday, temperatures will drop to the freezing mark, making travel potentially treacherous   Thursday, our weather remains unsettled, with the possibility of lingering rain and snow showers.
