Our region will be on the periphery of an intensifying low
pressure system offshore during the next 24 hours. Tonight, a few snow showers or flurries may brush
Eastern New Jersey or Delaware. On Sunday, the winds will be strong and gusty
as the pressure gradient tightens. The strongest winds should be in
Northeastern New Jersey. Sustained winds of 20 to 30 MPH with gusts of 35 to 50
MPH are expected.
Two storm systems this week may bring mixed precipitation
our way. Freezing rain with very light accumulations is expected Tuesday
Morning for perhaps the city and points north and west…followed by liquid rain.
It should start as liquid rain in most of Southern New Jersey and Delaware. Another round of mixed precipitation is likely on Friday.
