A damp and dreary night for sure as periods of rain and
drizzle along with areas of fog will impact the region. Some freezing on
contact of the water droplets remains possible in the Poconos. The rain should begin to end around Midnight with lingering fog and drizzle into early on Sunday. Cloud cover
should gradually decrease later on Sunday as it becomes blustery with wind gusts up
to 35 MPH. There could be some areas of black ice on Sunday Morning for points
North and West of Philadelphia.
The new week, about to begin, looks quite unsettled. An area
of low pressure will move into the Ohio Valley on Tuesday, followed by the
development of a secondary low at the coast. These areas of low pressure will
move northward and spread rain across our region Tuesday into Tuesday Night. It
will become breezy as the coastal low strengthens. Rainfall totals of one half
inch to two inches look reasonable which could lead to some areas of localized
flooding. Some showers are possible Wednesday through Friday with some weak
systems moving on through.
