Tracking Snow's Slow Progression

The rain snow line's slow but steady progression through central Pennsylvania has reached Lancaster and Allentown, where they're both reporting light snow as of the 7pm report.  Elsewhere, light rain has been moving through, with the heaviest showers in South Jersey.  Temperatures around the Philadelphia metro are in the upper 30's to 40-degrees at Philadelphia International Airport.

Over the next few hours, snow will overtake the entire area as temperatures drop rather quickly.  Accumulations still will range in the 1-3" window, with the grassy surfaces taking most of this, however some icy spots could form on the roads.  Temperatures will drop to just below the freezing mark and the winds will stay out of the northeast at 5 to 10 mph.
