Forecast for March 2nd, 2013

Winds were breezy today, keeping the temperatures feeling low.  This evening, winds will die down, but with mostly clear skies, temperatures will dip back into the upper 20's to lower 30's.  Winds will be out of the northwest at 5 to 10 mph.  Tomorrow, the winds will be breezy again but under partly sunny skies.  Highs go back up to the mid-40's both in the metro and to the south and east, and in the lower to mid-40's to the north and west.  Winds will stick out of the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

Sunday will be another sunny and pleasant day with temperatures in the low to mid-40's, although the general trend through the weekend and early next week is an overall drop in temperatures.  Monday and the start of the next workweek will be mostly sunny, with high hovering around the 40-degree mark.  Starting Tuesday, we'll start to see a change in our weather.  Tuesday will start out nice, with partly cloudy skies.  As the day continues, however, we'll see clouds on the increase.  By evening, we could see the leading edge of the storm inching in and providing us with a few rain and snow showers.

Wednesday looks ugly.  Overcast with rain and snow showers and the possibility of accumulating snow.  Right now, models still differ on how much and the areas that could be hardest hit, but there is still a lot of time for the models to center-in on a path.  Keep it here as the storm gets closer.  Thursday looks like a clearing day, although depending on the timing of the storm, and isolated shower can't be ruled out.  By Friday, we'll be seeing temperatures back on the rise and under partly sunny skies.
