March 8th, 2013 Forecast

After the “snowquester”, we’ll start to enjoy above normal temperatures with another few shots of snow and rain.  For tonight, skies will turn mostly cloudy with another chance of rain and snow showers.  Precipitation will start out as rain then change to snow as temperatures drop below the freezing mark.  Winds will remain breezy, out of the northwest at 10 to 15 mph.  Lows tonight will dip just below the freezing mark around the city, around the 30-degree mark to the south and east and into the upper 20’s to the north and west.  Snow showers will continue into tomorrow morning, before changing over to rain showers again.  Those rain showers will persist into the afternoon and start to taper off.  Highs tomorrow will reach into the 40’s, range depending on where you are.  Winds will still be whipping at times, from the north between 10 and 20 mph.

For the start of the weekend, spring like sun will prevail with temperatures in the lower to mid-50’s for both Saturday and Sunday.  Wind should also start to relax on Saturday as well.  The start of the next workweek will feature increasing clouds with a chance of showers Monday night into Tuesday.  Our above-average temperatures will be up into the lower 60’s on Monday and still in the upper 50’s on Tuesday.  Wednesday looks dry but cooler, with temperatures in the mid-50’s and by next Thursday, we’re looking at partly cloudy skies with temperatures in the lower 50’s.
