Not As Harsh, Still Cool
As clouds increase during the course of the day today, winds will not be quite as brisk but we're not talking about any significant warmth. Cloud cover probably does a good job of negating the potential for a milder day, with the best potential for clouds from late morning on through the balance of the day. Along with those increasing clouds comes a chance of showers late in the afternoon. Odds favor most of the shower activity holding off until after sunset in Philadelphia.
Temperatures, which are starting mainly in the 20's this morning, will climb into the upper 40's north of the city to the lower 50's from Philadelphia on south. While winds won't be as fierce as yesterday, there will still be occasional gusts -- winds could average 10-15 mph on the whole for the course of the day.
Shower chances around tonight, some of which may mix with snow across higher terrain in the Poconos and Central Pennsylvania, with those shower chances (with snow) continuing into Saturday. We'll talk more about that later on this morning.
