April 29th, 2013 Forecast

Hopefully you enjoyed this weekend's nice weather.  Arguably a relatively easy forecast for most of us to handle.  Unfortunately, the mild afternoons and sunshine will take at least a two day break as a weak storm system pushes on through for tomorrow and at least the early portions of Tuesday.

Tonight features the region finishing its trend towards overcast skies. Some drizzle is possible at the Shore with the development of a weak onshore flow, with showers approaching the region from the west overnight and perhaps reaching Central Pennsylvania by daybreak.  Lows by morning will dip into the 40's outside of the city, low 50's in Philly.  Winds, which are a bit gusty this afternoon, trend lighter overnight.

Monday will be a good bit cooler than the weekend thanks to clouds and showers. Showers will reach the region during the morning hours (west), hitting the coast by midday or early afternoon.  East breezes pick up through the course of the day throughout the region, including at the Shore where gusts could reach or exceed 30 mph.  Expect highs to generally be in the 50's to near 60 in most places. We're putting Philly at 60 for a high but we might be a bit optimistic.  In any case, it will be cooler than today.
