It is a cold start to the day with temperatures as cold as the 20s in some of the suburbs. We will see bright sunshine during the morning hours before high clouds begin to increase from the south this afternoon. By noon, temperatures will rise into the upper 40s in most places.
This afternoon, winds will become southwesterly, pushing highs into the mid 50s in the city and in most of the suburbs. The only exception may be the Shore points where a south or southeast wind off the ocean will keep temperatures down. Highs at the Shore will only be in the mid 40s to near 50. Today will be the calm before Friday morning's rain.
