Nudging Into Milder Territory

We're starting off Sunday in the 30's and low 40's in many locations around the region.  High clouds are interspersed with areas of clearer skies and that trend seems to be the one that holds for today -- we will have a mix of high clouds and sun through the course of the day, with west and north probably seeing more clouds move on in through the afternoon in advance of a frontal boundary that tries its darnedest to move through.

We'll take any shower chances out locally as it looks like we stay dry in Philadelphia into the evening hours. There could be a shower north of I-78 or west of I-476 late in the afternoon or early evening but it does appear we hold onto dry weather through the daylight hours.  Winds will generally pick up this afternoon from the south at 10 to 20 mph, which will result in a mild day for areas west of the city that are removed from the influence of the ocean.  Highs will get into the lower 60's in the city and points west, perhaps even getting to 63 or 64 in some spots.  East of the city will be a bit cooler as winds move in from the ocean and provide some natural chill.  Expect highs in New Jersey to be in the 50's to near 60, warmest near I-295 and across Northwest Jersey.

Tomorrow promises to be warmer yet for nearly everyone...
