A Notch Or Two Cooler Today
A slow moving cool front will continue its push southward, allowing for high pressure to build on in from the northeast over the next couple of days. It's going to allow for a pretty nice couple of days of weather locally as temperatures hang in the 70's in the afternoon hours with a fair amount of sunshine. Any thunder threat will be farther south over Virginia and the Carolinas.
There could be some passing mid level or cumulus clouds around during the course of the day but odds favor a relatively nice, tranquil, low humidity pair of days ahead around here.
Highs this afternoon generally get to the mid 70's with northwest breezes at around 10 mph. Similar, but perhaps slightly cooler, is expected as well for Saturday.
