May 11th, 2013 Forecast

After a summer-like day, we have a some summer-like precipitation on the way.  Scattered showers and a few rumbles of thunder are possible before the main body of rain moves in.  Heavier period of rain are possible in a few of the stronger thunderstorms.  Temperatures tonight will be in the lower to mid-60's with winds generally from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.  The thunderstorm threat diminishes overnight tonight, but the showers will stick around into tomorrow.  Showers will persist into tomorrow, with a thunderstorm or two possible.  Temperatures still generally warm, with highs in the mid-70's throughout the region.  Winds remain out of the southwest at 5 to 15 mph.

By Mothers Day, temperatures back down below 70-degrees and showers will taper off by the early morning, giving way to partly sunny skies.  The beginning portion of the Race for the Cure might be damp, but by mid-morning, clouds should start to clear out.  Temperatures down to the upper 60's.  Monday, temperatures drop to the lower 60's under partly cloudy skies.  Tuesday looks like another mostly sunny with temperatures in the mid-60's.  Wednesday, temperatures rebound to the upper 60's with more sun than clouds.  Thursday, partly sunny with temperatures in the mid-70's.  On Friday, temperatures back into the mid-70's with mostly sunny skies.  After a few bumps in the beginning part of this weekend, the next few days look clear and cool.
