May 24th, 2013 Forecast

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are moving through the region right now and while none are severe, some of the thunderstorms could have gusty winds small hail and strong downpours.  These pop-up storms are ahead of the main body of precipitation which we will interact with tomorrow and Saturday.

Tonight, more showers and thunderstorms around, but not constant.  Skies will remain mostly cloudy otherwise and humid.  Low's in the lower 60's around the Philadelphia Metro and to the south and east, and in the upper 50's to the north and west.  The region is under a "Slight Risk" for severe weather this evening  so some of the thunderstorms could turn severe.  Tomorrow, much cooler and mostly cloudy.  Showers and t-storms are likely earlier in the day then chances decreasing through the afternoon.  Highs tomorrow only getting in the lower to mid-60's throughout the area, likely early in the day with much of the day spent closer to 60 if not in the upper 50's.  Winds will shift to the northwest at 5 to 15 mph.

We still have a chance of rain in the forecast for Saturday but by the afternoon the reain should start to taper off.  Skies will be partly cloudy otherwise with highs in the upper 60's.  Sunday look like a great day, and even better for the unofficial start to the summer.  Skies on Sunday will be partly sunny with high's in the lower 70's.  Memorial Day look even better with highs in the mid-70's under mostly sunny skies.  Once people return to work on Tuesday, it'll still be nice and warm, with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70's, making the way for a really nice stretch of weather.  Wednesday an Thursday both look really nice, with highs in the lower to mid-80's and partly sunny skies.
