May 9th, 2013 Forecast

A gradual improvement in the weather is expected tomorrow as the upper level low moves on out of the region. We will still have a shower or storm chance to contend with during the afternoon but odds are most of us stay dry as showers will be more of the pop up to widely scattered variety, as opposed to a more widespread hit of rain and thunder.

Tonight's shower and storm activity should die down later this evening, with lingering variably cloudy skies and perhaps some scattered fog around the region.  Lows will end up in the mid and upper 50's around the region.

Thursday features a mix of clouds and sun with that pop-up shower or thunderstorm chance. Highs will top out around 75 in Philadelphia, a bit cooler than that towards the Shore and farther northwest.  Winds, will from the west and southwest, will be light which will allow for a bit more of a seabreeze at the immediate coast.

Friday looks like a solid shot at getting into the 80's...perhaps mid 80's in a few spots?  There could be some thunderstorms Friday night, with a better chance of storms around the region on Saturday as a storm system moves on through.  For now, I took the thunder chances out of Sunday as it looks like the bulk of moisture, energy, and thunder will move through Saturday and Saturday night.
