Reviewing April 2013

April 2013 was a topsy turvy month of sorts -- a near 60 degree swing in temperature over a six day window, followed by a fifty degree drop in temperatures in less than 100 hours.  Once we got through that roller coaster and the subsequent crash, the balance of the month was your typical oscillation towards warmer weather and away from colder.

We averaged 0.8 degrees above average in Philadelphia last month, putting us back on the "warm" side of the ledge after a couple of months below average.  Rainfall ended up below average in Philadelphia by over an inch, with some spots near the Shore a bit closer to normal but still drier than what is constituted as normal.

Not everyone in the region ended up above average on temperatures -- Atlantic City was below by 0.4 degrees.  That said, the balance of the region was slightly above average by anywhere from a few tenths to over a degree and a half.
