There will be scattered showers and thunderstorms around the region today, courtesy of a cutoff low. It certainly won't rain all day. In fact, there will probably be more dry periods than wet periods. During those dry periods, look for a mix of sun and clouds which will allow for temperatures to warm up nicely. However, when it does rain, watch out for brief downpours.
By noon, temperatures will be in the low to mid 60s across the area. Winds will nudge out of the south in the afternoon, and combined with the sunny breaks, our high should manage the low 70s in the city with many of the suburbs also making it to around 70 or better. Our usual cool spot this time of year, the Shore, will hold in the mid 60s for their high.
