Rainy Start, Clearing Later

Rain showers with some embedding heavier downpours are occurring over all of New Jersey and Delaware as of 7am.  The heaviest rainfall is occurring over I-95 in Southeast PA, just south and west of the city.  Its moving northeast and will move over the city in the next hour.  Temperatures currently are in the upper 60's to around 70 degrees.

A cold front is moving through the region, but taking its time to do so and won't clear the region until this evening.  It will actually stall out to the south and east of our area.  All locations in the city and points east and south will see periods of rainfall through the morning hours, with some heavier downpours at times.  Conditions will slowly improve from northwest to southeast during the afternoon hours as the front passes through and things begin to dry out.  North and west of the city, clouds will decrease with some sunshine.

Highs today will top out in the mid to upper 70's.  Winds will mainly be out of the westerly direction, but will turn more northwesterly towards evening.  We'll see a few nice days with seasonal temperatures starting tomorrow and a break from the heat.
