Cooler, Less Humid, But Perhaps Not Totally Dry
Cooler air in the wake of yesterday's storm system will work into the region today. Summertime heat and humidity will take a bit of a break for a couple of days on the strength of northerly winds pulling some relief in from Canada. Northerly winds could gust over 20 mph at times today.
Instead of yesterday's 85 degree high, today is going to in the middle 70's -- a good ten degrees cooler.
Additionally, an upper level disturbance pivoting around yesterday's storm system will agitate the atmosphere and will trigger a few showers and sprinkles through the course of the day, with some activity occurring this morning and more shower activity possible this afternoon with daytime heating. As of now, it does not appear any heavy showers will fall but a few sprinkles or a brief 20 minute shower can't be ruled out later on today.
