Forecast for Monday, June 3, 2013

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this evening and tonight as a cold front moves in from the west. Any thunderstorm has the potential to become severe, especially before sunset. It is possible that more showers and thunderstorms develop during the day on Monday across our region as the cold front is a slow mover and may not push offshore until late in the day. Any thunderstorm during the next day or so could contain very heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

Tuesday through Thursday are shaping up to be absolutely delightful with plenty of sunshine, a breeze, and low humidity. Clouds will increase late on Thursday, likely after dark.

Friday and Saturday are looking more and more unsettled with each model run. Numerous showers and thunderstorms are likely. There could even be a period of rain. At this point, our thinking is that Sunday will become increasingly sunny as skies clear.
