July 1st, 2013 Forecast

There will be scattered thunderstorms around tonight, most numerous during the evening.  However, any of these storms could produce very heavy rain and cause flash flooding.  Otherwise, it will be warm and steamy with lows a few degrees on either side of 70.

Monday will be the wettest day of the week.  There will be numerous showers and thunderstorms with lots of heavy rain.  A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Monday evening because it won't take much rain to cause a flash flood since the ground is already so saturated.  Due to the storms, temperatures will be held down a notch.  Highs will be in the low 80s for most, but with the tropical humidity it doesn't even matter.

Tuesday will feature scattered storms, but it will be an improvement over Monday.  We'll slowly dry out after Tuesday.  There will still be scattered afternoon storms on Wednesday, but not as widespread as on Tuesday, and definitely not as widespread as on Monday.

The Bermuda High takes over by the 4th of July, and we'll be back at 90+ for Thursday through Sunday with the risk for afternoon thunderstorms each day from the build-up of heat and humidity.
