Periods of Rain. Heavy downpours at times.

Temperatures as of 7am are in the lower to middle 60's across the region.   Cloudy and rainy conditions prevail as a warm front is pushing through the region.  In fact, an embedded area of heavier rainfall and thunderstorms is about to move through city as shown in recent posts.  This area will move through the city during the next hour during the heart of rush hour.

Flash Flood watches are in effect for the entire region as its only been a few days since all the rains from Andrea we received on Friday.  The ground is pretty saturated and it won't take much to cause flooding, especially in areas that see heavy downpours.

We will have periods of rain throughout the day, with some embedded thunderstorms that will produce heavy downpours.  Winds out of the east this morning will shift to the south as the warm front moves through.  Stuck in clouds all day, temperatures will not rise much and only top out in the lower 70's, with highs staying in the upper 60's for far northern suburbs.

A cold front will approach tonight from the west and move through during the overnight hours.  This will dry things out and provide a much nicer day for tomorrow.
