We're under a severe thunderstorm watch until 10 PM in much of the region. Only areas that aren't are Lancaster, Berks, Lehigh Valley, Central and North Jersey. Threats from this watch are wind, hail, and lightning. Storms could also produce heavy rains as well as they move east and northeast.
As of 4:15 PM, one lone storm is tracking into Bucks County from Montgomery County, moving east-northeast. A couple of other localized showers around near Fort Washington and also West Chester but nothing notable nearby. There are more storms down near Washington and Frederick, MD, all of which are moving east and east-northeast through Maryland this afternoon. It appears the threat area for thunderstorms may be higher to our south this afternoon and evening than locally and points north. We can't rule out scattered storms around here and we'll certainly keep an eye on the potential for storms but the way things have been firing up around the Mid Atlantic it leads me to think Delaware and South Jersey stand a higher chance than locally.
