Updating The Evening's Storms

Most of the thunderstorm activity that's developed this afternoon has produced heavy rain, some small to mid sized hail, but a ton of lightning. Lightning struck a baseball field in Glen Mills earlier today, injuring one individual.  Since 5 PM, here are some of the hail reports with storms...mostly up over the Lehigh Valley.

Now, attention turns to the west over Chester County as a strong storm pushes east.  This storm, and others back into Lancaster County, have had a history of producing some small to mid sized hail this evening as they push east.  They'll continue to do so over the next couple of hours.

A severe thunderstorm watch remains out until 10 PM for Delaware, most of New Jersey, and eastern Pennsylvania.  These storms will gradually weaken over the next couple of hours as the sun sets and the atmosphere stabilizes thanks to daytime heating but the risk for a strong storm continues for the next little while.
