Clouds will continue to increase this evening, and humidity will be on the rise overnight. A few showers and storms are possible after 4 AM, so it would be a good idea to grab the umbrella on your way out the door in the morning. Lows tonight will be warmer than the past few nights, in the mid and upper 60s. As a side note, Thursday's sunrise isn't until 6:00 AM -- a sign that the days are getting shorter as we begin the last month of meteorological summer.
Thursday will be humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Heavy downpours are possible with any thunderstorm, so watch out for some ponding on roadways. Storms will be most numerous during the afternoon and evening. Due to the extra cloud cover, high temperatures will hold right around 80 degrees.
We'll dry out for Friday with lowering humidity through the day. Saturday looks pretty good, but there is the chance for a thunderstorm as a weak disturbance aloft passes over us. Sunday should be a dry day with seasonable temperatures and low humidity.
Monday looks beautiful, but we'll introduce another chance for a thunderstorm on Tuesday. Wednesday should be another very nice summer day.
