Hot and Humid. Scattered PM Thunderstorms
Its yet another very warm and muggy morning as temperatures did not fall much overnight and are in the mid to upper 70's. A very hot and humid day is on tap again, but the good news is that today should be the final day of this excessive heat that has been felt all week. Cooler air will arrive for the weekend.
Temperatures once again will reach the middle 90's for most locations, with a few upper 90's squeezed in the favored "hot spots" around town. There will be lots of sunshine with a few clouds developing as we go into the afternoon hours. There may be enough lift for some pulse type thunderstorms to develop in the afternoon. The greater chances will be north and west of the city.
Excessive heat warnings remain in effect as heat index values will again be in the 100 to 107 degree range, highest along I-95.
