Humidity Creeps Back Into Picture

The last couple of days have offered a splendid respite in high humidity and heat...I highly doubt anyone's been complaining about the nice weather around here!  While today will feature a couple of notches of higher humidity as dew points bounce back into the 60's, it does appear that for the most part heat will remain somewhat limited.  Don't get us wrong -- it will be warm out as temperatures get into the mid 80's away from the ocean but no signs of 90 loom in the not-too-distant future.

Warmer and more humid breezes blow today in advance of a cool front that approaches from the west. This front will slowly cross the region on Sunday, producing showers and storms over the region on a more widespread basis. It looks like some of those storms will approach the region this afternoon and evening, with a line of thunder modeled in most guidance across Central Pennsylvania, shifting northeast towards Scranton and Allentown later in the evening.  As of now, it looks like Philly, the immediate burbs, and points south and east stay dry through the day and evening. It might storm at night but Philly should stay dry through most of the evening hours, perhaps even until after Midnight.

Today shapes up as the nicer of the two weekend days for all of us -- get out and enjoy...although it will be a bit warmer than the last couple of days.
