July 13th, 2013 Forecast

For the rest of the evening, showers and a few thunderstorms will move into our region.  To the south of us, flooding is occurring in the Delmarva and around Washington DC.  Ahead of that, the National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Watch around the Philadelphia metro.  Showers and thunderstorms will persist overnight and some rain could fall heavy at times.  Lows tonight will hover around the 70-degree mark throughout the area.  Winds will be from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.  Tomorrow will remain mostly cloudy with more scattered showers and thunderstorms.  Highs will be about average tomorrow, in the mid-80's in and around the city, lower to mid-80's to the north and west and mid-80's to the south and east.  If your closer to the shore, highs will only be in the lower 80's.  While Saturday will have some precipitation, I don't think Saturday or Sunday will be a complete washout.

Sunday does look like the better day of the weekend, with partly sunny skies and just some isolated storms possible.  Highs on Sunday closer to 90-degrees.  Monday will feature some scattered storms with highs in the lower 90's.  Tuesday we'll find some relief from the rain but we'll still see highs in the lower 90's.  For Wednesday, high's bump into the mid-90's with an increase in humidity too.  Thursday, more scattered showers and storms under partly cloudy skies with highs in the lower to mid-90's.  We'll find some temperature relief on Friday under partly cloudy skies.
