Skies will be partly cloudy tonight. The warmth and mugginess will continue with lows only 70 to 75 degrees. Southwest winds will gradually shift from the west at 5 to 10 mph.
An Excessive Heat Warning goes into effect at noon Monday and lasts through 8 PM Tuesday. However, I wouldn't be surprised if it is extended beyond that. Monday will feature hazy sun with hot and humid conditions. I can't rule out an isolated thunderstorm in the afternoon, but most places won't see one. Highs will be around 95, but it will feel like 100 with dew points near 70. Winds will be out of the west-northwest at 5 to 15 mph.
Tuesday and Wednesday will feature blazing hot sun. Wednesday will likely be the hottest day of 2013 so far. Thursday and Friday may feature a pop-up storm, with Friday also featuring blazing heat. A cold front will move through on Saturday and bring us some relief in the form of scattered showers and thunderstorms, but by Sunday you will definitely notice less humidity and cooler temperatures behind the front.
