July 24th, 2013 Forecast

Scattered thunderstorms will be around tonight, mainly during the evening, but I can't rule out a leftover shower or storm overnight.  A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through this evening, so watch out for heavy downpours with any of these storms.  Tonight should be the last warm and muggy night for at least a couple of nights.  Lows will generally be in the low 70s.

Humidity will drop through the day on Wednesday, so by the afternoon it will feel quite comfortable outside.  It will still be warm though with highs in the mid 80s under a mix of sun and clouds.  Wednesday night into Thursday morning will be our first time below 70 degrees since the morning of June 23rd.

Thursday is probably the pick-day of the week.  It will be a cool morning with temperatures ranging from the mid 50s in the Lehigh Valley to the low 60s in Philadelphia.  The afternoon will be nearly perfect with a mix of sun and clouds, low humidity, and highs only in the low 80s!  I can't rule out a shower at the Shore, but most of the region will be dry.  We'll dip below 70 again Thursday night.

We will turn unsettled again on Friday with the threat for scattered thunderstorms as a frontal boundary stalls just to our south and east.  It will move away on Saturday, so I'm expecting a dry day to start the weekend, but humidity will be on the increase.

The scattered thunderstorm threat returns for Sunday.  Monday looks nice outside of a leftover shower, and Tuesday looks dry and seasonable.
