July 2nd, 2013 Forecast

There will be a few more showers and thunderstorms tonight, but they will be lighter in intensity as we move through the night.  Otherwise, you know the drill, it will be warm and stuffy with lows in the low 70s for most, but a bit "cooler" in the northwest suburbs.

Scattered thunderstorms will be the story for Tuesday.  They will be less widespread than today, so expect some breaks of sun at times.  Highs will be in the mid 80s, but the humidity will still make it feel like the tropics outside.  Flash Flood Watches remain in place for another day as any storm could produce localized downpours.

Wednesday will feature more scattered thunderstorms, but they should be confined to the afternoon and evening hours.  Temperatures will be up a few notches, climbing back into the upper 80s.

The Bermuda High takes over by the 4th of July, and we'll be back at 90+ for Thursday through Monday with the risk for afternoon thunderstorms each day from the build-up of heat and humidity.
