July 5th, 2013 Forecast
For those of you who wanted summer back during colder times, here you go. A solid seven day stretch of heat and humidity. For this evening, partly cloudy skies and very humid. While precipitation chances are low, don't rule out a passing showers, especially to western areas. Lows in the upper 60's to lower 70's with winds from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow, mostly sunny skies with heat and humidity will be the start of a solid week of similar weather. Dewpoints will be in the 70's with high's in the lower 90's in the metro. High's will hover around 90-degrees to the south and east and north and west. Some relief can be found by those lucky enough to have headed to the shore points, with high's in the mid-80's. Winds will persist out of the southwest.
The rest of the week looks just the same with a sprinkling of sprinkle chances. Saturday hot and muggy, with heat indicies in the upper 90's. Sunday, increasing clouds but still hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms throughout the day. Still soupy on Monday with temperatures still in the lower 90's and partly sunny skies. More sun, more heat and more humidity for Tuesday, with a chance of storms late into Wednesday. The rain won't provide any relief however, as highs on Wednesday will stick in the lower 90's under partly to mostly cloudy skies. By next Thursday, we'll still be seeing the heat and humidity with storm still possible.
