July 6th, 2013 Forecast
Another humid night with not a lot of relief from the heat. While skies will be mostly clear, temperatures will only drop into the lower to mid-70's, making it feel like 80-degrees overnight. Some areas to the north and west could drop into the upper 60's. Winds will be from the south at 5 to 10 mph. Tomorrow, a standard hazy, hot and humid day. The Excessive Heat Warning will begin at 11am Saturday and last until late evening on Sunday. Tomorrow's heat index could reach over 100-degrees, so stay safe out there. Tomorrow's high's will be in the mid-90's around the metro, the lower 90's to the north and west and inland areas to the south and east. In coastal regions, still a humid one with high's in the mid-80's. Winds will be from the southwest at 5 to 10 mph.
Similar heat again for Sunday, but the latter half of the weekend will be the start of another unsettled period. Highs Sunday will be in the lower to mid-90's. Monday, scattered rain and thunderstorms, especially in the afternoon, with high's in the lower 90's. Tuesday, more afternoon showers and thunderstorms, otherwise mostly cloudy with highs remaining in the lower 90's. Wednesday and Thursday look very similar, with highs in the lower 90's. Both days will remain unsettled with partly to mostly cloudy skies and scattered showers and thunderstorms both days. By Friday, we see some relief from the heat. Temperatures will be noticeable lower, but we'll still be plagued by spotty showers and thunderstorms.
