July 7th, 2013 Forecast

It is going to be a very warm, muggy, stuffy, uncomfortable night tonight.  Skies will be mostly clear, but lows will only drop into the mid 70s, so we'll likely be dealing with a heat index of 80+ at sunrise tomorrow.

An Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect through 8 PM Sunday, so another very hot and humid day is on tap.  Look for hazy sun with some thunderstorm activity trying to pop in the afternoon, especially west of the city.  Highs will be near 95, but it will feel like 100+ with dew points around 70.

Monday will likely not reach 90 as scattered storms cause some extra cloud cover.  By Tuesday we're back above 90 with just the chance for an isolated storm.  A couple of disturbances will move through on Wednesday and Thursday and bring scattered thunderstorm chances.  On Friday, a cold front will move through and finally break our heat and humidity, but look for more scattered storms along the front.  Just a leftover shower is possible Saturday, but temperatures will only reach the mid 80s.
