Less Stormy But Not Storm Free

After yesterday's storms and deluge, the last thing anyone wants in the region is more rain and thunder. Well, not everyone is going to get hit but, as is apropos this summer, some spots will have to deal with the prospect of more showers and perhaps a drenching thunderstorm over the course of the day today.  The good news is that it will not be as persistent nor as heavy as the storms that popped Delaware and Delaware County yesterday during the day and it looks like we should skate through today without anyone getting over six inches of rain, such as was the case in Rehoboth yesterday.

Clouds this morning generally yield to at least some sunshine later on.  That sun may act to destabilize the atmosphere enough to fire up showers and storms in some spots, generally in a pop up or scattered fashion.

Humidity will be higher for those north of the city that got a bit of a break in the muggies yesterday as the upper level feature pivots back to the west and allows tropical air to push northward.

Highs today get into the mid 80's most locations, with low 80's at the Shore, as winds nudge around to the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
