Scattered Showers and Thunderstorms

Showers and Thunderstorms are occurring in parts of the region as of 7am.  These are occurring mainly in areas in Eastern PA, north and west of the city from Lancaster to Easton.  They are moving from southwest to northeast.  This will be the story throughout the day as an upper-level low is situated over the Great Lakes, with a trailing cold front to our west and a southerly flow out ahead of it.  These features will move east during the day and keep our chances pretty high for seeing rain.

Lots of clouds will prevail but its possible that some areas south and east of the city could see a few peaks of sunshine from time to time during the day.  This is reflected in high temperatures with northern areas staying in the upper 70's with southern locations getting into the lower 80's.  Areas that see the sun for a longer period, could see temperatures even get a few degrees higher.
