August 23rd, 2013 Forecast

Showers and a few thunderstorms have been passing through the region throughout the day with a few breaks of sunshine.  This trend will continue tonight, with more showers and storms ahead of a cold front that will push through.  Lows tonight in the mid-60s to just breaking into the lower 70's.  It will also feel muggy.  Winds will be out of the west at 5 to 10 mph.  Any showers or storm that pops up could contain heavier rainfall, which could cause reduced visibility or ponding on roadways.  Tomorrow, behind the front will be partly sunny and less humid, which will provide some relief.  Highs will still be up there, though, in the mid- to upper 80's, but with the lower humidity, it will feel noticeably better tomorrow.  Winds will shift from the west to the north, at 5 to 10 mph.

Another great late-summer weekend is on tap for the Delaware and Lehigh Valleys as Saturday and Sunday both look to give us brilliant sunshine and not too many clouds.  Temperatures both day will be in the mid-80's for highs and lower 60's for lows.  All in all, a great weekend to get out and enjoy it before autumn.  By Monday, we're still in the clear with mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures, with highs in the mid-80's, but with more humidity.  By nightfall, we will start to see more clouds moving in.  Tuesday will bring some scattered showers and thunderstorms as we reach the height of instability with highs in the upper 80's.  We remain unsettled on Wednesday, with more showers and storms possible, but slightly lower high temperatures.  For Thursday, and this time next week, we'll be seeing those showers moving out of the area leaving us with sunshine and a few clouds with highs in the mid-80's.
