August 24th, 2013 Forecast


Skies remained partly to mostly cloudy throughout the day, keeping temperatures muted over the region.  Tonight, skies will continue to clear gradually to become mostly clear tonight.  Cooler temperatures will prevail and it will also be less humid.  Lows in the mid-60's around the Philadelphia metro, down to the upper 50's to the north and west and the lower 60's to the south and east.  Winds will be light from the north.  Tomorrow is the start of a great late-summer weekend, with mostly sunny skies and overall very comfortable.  Highs in the upper 70's to lower 80's throughout the region with winds out of the east at 5 to 10 mph.


Sunday and Monday look very simulate as the pleasant weather continues.  Highs will be in the lower to mid-80's with mostly sunny skies.  Lows will dip into the lower 60's.  Monday could feel a bit more humid and by the evening, more clouds will start moving in.  A big airmass change happens on Tuesday, with higher temperatures and dewpoints.  Rain showers and thunderstorms are possible as well, but more scattered than widespread.  By midweek, more showers and thunderstorms are possible with mostly cloudy skies.  Highs both Tuesday and Wednesday in the mid- to upper 80's, and lows in the upper 60's.  Thursday also looks unsettled with mostly cloudy skies and a continued chance of showers and storms.  High humidity will prevail as well with high's in the mid-80's.  By Friday, skies will begin to clear with temperatures in the mid-80's.
