Clouds and Sun, Scattered Storms

Temperatures as of 7am are in the 60's for much of the region.  But a few spots are warmer in the lower 70's around the city and points along the Delaware River to Wilmington, DE.  There are a few showers around as well.  There two areas and are along I-78 in PA and NJ, with one area near Allentown and the other in the Plainfield/Elizabeth area.  They are moving east.

A stalled front continues to sit south of our area.  Several shortwaves will form and move along the front during the day.  These will help to ignite some showers and thunderstorms through the afternoon and evening hours.  There will be a lot more cloudiness than yesterday, but still abundant sunshine as well.  Highs will be at or slightly warmer than yesterday with highs in the middle 80's for much of the area.

The coverage of showers and thunderstorms will increase tonight and during the overnight hours as a cold front approaches the region by early tomorrow.
