Comfortable Start To Weekend!
We'll continue the theme of lower humidity across the region today as skies start clear but clouds increase as the day progresses. We could see a varied mix of clouds and sun by afternoon across parts of the region, especially south and east of the city, due in part to a northeast and northerly flow bringing some moisture in across the mid levels of the atmosphere and helping fire up clouds. However, most of us should be dry today (as well as tomorrow!). There is one rogue thundershower near AC this morning that's nudging southwest...it should avoid Philly and work down through coastal sections of South Jersey through 9 or 10 AM. Other than that, it doesn't look like there will be much else in the way of shower activity.
We'll call the day overall mostly sunny...although if these clouds as the NAM has them modeled do develop in greater quantity it's possible that we'll be more "mix or variably cloudy" for sky condition.
Highs today will be in the lower 80's -- perhaps a mid 80's (83, 84) type reading mixed in across the western and northwestern burbs where sunshine may be in greater supply.
