Flirting With 90
We're in between waves of energy that are traversing around the periphery of the heat ridge in the Midwest, with a warm day in that sandwich as we sit between systems. Last night's will push away quickly, leaving a mid of sun and clouds for the region over the course of the day. There could be a shower or storm that fire up in daytime heating during the afternoon hours but any shower or storm chances are low and they should be scattered or isolated at best.
Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday -- upper 80's for many, perhaps a 90 or two scattered around the region. We're projecting 89 for Philadelphia's high, with most everyone within a degree or two of that 90 degree mark. The Shore will be a bit of an exception as temperatures will get to the mid 80's this afternoon. In addition to the warmth, humidity will be a bit higher today as well as dew point values reach the mid to upper 60's.
